This year, Denver, CO won the REI Cycling Town Showdown against Portland, OR. With 300+ sunny days a year, little rain, and a thriving economy, it’s no surprise that people are starting to realize that Denver is the place to be. There are negative environmental impacts with such a surplus of hot, dry weather, but what’s a Denverite to do? We hike, we bike, and we enjoy the outdoors year round.

This year, June 26th hosted Colorado’s Bike to Work Day. With sponsored refreshment kiosks positioned all over the city, bike commuters could grab breakfast, coffee, and a free bike tune as they headed into work. There were also a number of organizations educating commuters about environmental initiatives all over the state.

Here at Diablo Media, we get festive every chance we get. So to shine a little more light on this eco-friendly day, we had custom Bike to Work T-shirts made for all our riders. Based on a percentage of employee participation, Diablo Media placed 6th out of 133 in our class for the Bike to Work Business Challenge, and we thought it would nice to share everyone’s experience.
