Word on the street says the Google Affiliate Network is powering down. Despite its popularity, Google’s Affiliate Network is like a band that can’t quite break into stardom. Also, a few different sources have stated, “It was never a part of its core business.” So it’s hard to be awesome at something your company culture isn’t exactly passionate about. It’s really a bummer for all those who spent time setting up a foundation within the GAN, but Google is huge and they have plenty of other fish to fry.
This being said, their closure is really a blessing for other affiliate networks. I’m sure there have been plenty of partners that have jumped ship already, but Google won’t be shutting its network’s doors completely until October of this year. It will, however, be disabling publisher relationships from advertiser programs on July 31, 2013. So I think it’s safe to say there will be thousands of well-to-do affiliate marketers looking for a new network to call home base.
This past week, we’ve been absorbing a number of people affected by Google’s closure and can’t appreciate their consideration enough. But we’re not about to stop there, we invite all those that are being “laid off” by Google’s closure to get in touch with us so we can get you back on track. There are a number of ways we can help, but Diablo Media has a full range of verticals, a broad scale and reach, financial strength, an international presence, and a strong reputation that we like to leverage for all our network partners.
See, the thing about Diablo Media isn’t that we have the best offers and highest payouts, those things are a given and what we do here at Diablo Media is beyond that. We’ve built our company on a foundation of strong relationships. And even though we are in the business of high volume, we don’t just give people a number in our network. We talk with almost all of them every week, and some of them everyday. We know this isn’t how most networks go about their business, but we have found success in going above and beyond and want to share that with all affiliate marketers, including all those affected by Google’s affiliate network closing.
Feel free to give us a call at 303-305-4052 or go to www.diablomedia.com to learn more about how we can help.
