When you’re working on a performance basis, efficiency is the top priority. And for the most part, weekends aren’t known to be the most efficient time to thrive as an affiliate marketer. As a matter of fact, a big chunk of our industry accepts this and is content letting weekends be weekends. Up until recently, we felt the same way.

So we asked ourselves, “Why are we letting weekends pass us by?” No one had anything to say other than “that’s the way it has always been.”  So we went to our network, and here is what we found:

  • There are publishers in our network that can’t make weekends work. In fact, it is the norm for most.
  • However, the ones that find success on the weekends target the following campaign verticals:
    • Auto shopping
    • Home improvement
    • Travel and leisure campaigns
    • Coupons and shopping
  • We also found that pubs running mobile offers seem to do great on the weekends.

Since gathering this feedback, we’ve made a concerted effort to push these verticals during the weekends. The results have been dramatic.
