How often to you ride to work?
I do not ride to work because I live about 35 miles away. But, now that we are in the new office I take my bike on the light rail and bike from the last stop which is about a mile away.
How far?
This morning for Bike to Work Day I got off the light rail further down to give me a 6.8 mile ride into work.
What do you like most about riding your bike?
I enjoy riding because I can get somewhere faster than walking. I also enjoy the trails and the exercise.
One of your earliest cycling memories?
I lived in California when I was younger and would ride inland down to the beach, which was about 40 miles one way. I thought I would be adventurous one day and took a different way back. I ended up getting stuck in a city I was not familiar with and went off roading (in a 10-speed) and bent my wheel. My dad took about an hour and half to come and get me. That was not a good way to end the day. The ride down was fun though.
What did you have for breakfast?
My first stop at Bike to Work Day was at a stand that had Santiago burritos, chocolate milk and a Cliff bar. Yum.

How often to you ride to work?
I take the bus everyday. With the new office, it’s a bit off of the bus line, so I now use my scooter to ride the remaining 10 blocks from the bus.
How far?
My two-wheeled commute is 10 blocks – about a half a mile.
What do you like most about riding your bike?
I love using any form of transportation that is helping keep Colorado green! The workout is really nice too.
One of your earliest cycling memories?
I remember hating my bike when I was a young kid because I was afraid of taking off my training wheels. Once I got the hang of it, I was hooked! I remember me and a few friends down the street would meet up every day of summer, ride to the 7-11, get snacks then ride around town.
What did you have for breakfast?
A banana!

June 8th 1998: I rode, going down a steep hill, into a swarm of mosquitoes, one got in my eye. Then, I closed my eyes and lost control. It didn’t end well.

How often to you ride to work?
To be honest, I never ride to work. I actually walk everyday.
How far?
I walk 1.1 miles to and from work.
What do you like most about riding your bike?
I don’t own one, but I really enjoy renting the Denver B-Cycles. It’s a nice and easy way to cruise around the city, without having to walk or call a cab.
One of your earliest cycling memories?
When I was 6 years old, my friend across the street taught me how to ride a two-wheel bike. It took a while to get the balance, but I eventually got it down. After cruising around with no problem for about 10 minutes, I started to get pretty confident in my cycling abilities. I got so confident that I decided to take one hand off and wave at my mother. Well, that didn’t go so well. I ended up losing control and hit the left side of my face into a brick wall. I didn’t end up getting stitches, but I still have that scar on the left side of my face to this day.
What did you have for breakfast?
1 whole egg & 3 egg whites scrambled, along with a cup of oatmeal and a vanilla protein shake on the side

How often to you ride to work?
All the time!
How far?
0.42 miles
What do you like most about riding your bike?
I don’t have to deal with finding a parking spot!
One of your earliest cycling memories?
As a kid, we had a junky green bike that both my brother and I learned to ride on. We weren’t allowed to get our own bikes until we mastered riding that one. It was embarrassing riding that ugly green bike, so I got really good, really fast and upgraded to a pink and grey 10 speed that was all the rage in the 80’s. The best part about that bike was that it matched my pink boom box perfectly!
What did you have for breakfast?
Coconut water and a chai tea.
